The 2026 four-star linebacker noticed enough during his visit with the Oklahoma Sooners to pique his interest.
The Oklahoma Sooners are starting their 2026 class strong, despite only having a handful of players actually committed. The ones that are committed, are locked in — almost none of them have any thoughts of going anywhere else, especially Jaden O’Neal, who is as locked in as a commit that we have ever seen. This guy bleeds Crimson and Cream.
But of the guys committed, most are offensive players. The Sooners, while they do have an elite offense and hope to have one next year based on the players they brought in and are bringing back, still need more committed players on that side of the ball.
This offseason, the Sooners got straight to work on their recruiting. They started going out and visiting every player they were really interested in. They started to send out offers. And they started to host visits. One guy they hosted on a visit, had his attention caught by the Sooners after the visit was one to remember. Visiting Norman, Oklahoma can be magical as a recruit.
Cincere Johnson, a four-star linebacker from Cleveland, Ohio, recently visited the University of Oklahoma for the first time. Standing at 6’3″ and weighing 235 pounds, Johnson has made a name for himself as one of the top linebacker prospects in his class, ranked among the top 110 players nationally and in the top 10 for linebackers.
His visit to Oklahoma was highly positive, with Johnson expressing that the Sooners made a significant impression on him. He’s also on the radar of other big programs like Alabama. Johnson is currently navigating his recruitment process, and Oklahoma has positioned itself well in his considerations for college.
