The Super Bowl may create a conflict in the relationship between Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffery

Fans will tune into the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles expecting to see a high quality NFL game; yet things could prove surprisingly tense for Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffrey, who will find themselves on opposing sides of the football.

The Indiana Fever star was recently spotted at the Arrowhead Stadium for the AFC Divisional Game against the Houston Texans as she relaxed with Taylor Swift, and apparently is a childhood fan of the Missouri-based side.

Meanwhile her partner is an avid Eagles supporter and can often be found kitted out in the merchandise of Jalen Hurts’ side as he looks for the quarterback to avenge the 2022/23 Super Bowl loss.

So when the two football juggernauts meet at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, home of the Saints, fans worry if their relationship is prepared to take on such a tense NFL match on Sunday, February 9.

“I need to know how Caitlin and Connor are going to handle this one. Chiefs vs Eagles,” one user wrote to X.com, formerly Twitter, of a photo of Clark in a bright red Chiefs jersey whist adding another of McCaffrey in an Eagles t-shirt.

Thank you for watching

One fan replied by commenting, “Maybe it was like ‘I’ll support your Phillies, and you’ll support my Chiefs!'”

And a second added, “I’m sure there will be zero trash talk between them leading up to this game.”

Whilst a third said, “It will be a great game, any chance CC and Connor will just watch and enjoy? NOT A CHANCE.”

After guiding the Chiefs to a 32-29 victory over Josh Allen’s Buffalo BillsPatrick Mahomes finds himself in the Super Bowl game for the fifth time in six seasons as he prepares to face Hurts and Saquon Barkley.

The game will take place on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, and will be broadcast live on FOX Sports (Channel 11 in Los Angeles). Fans can also watch on FoxSports.com, the mobile app, Fox Deportes and the NFL+ app.
