Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill: Gauging his value on the NFL trade market

It’s easy to say the Miami Dolphins should pull the plug on the Tyreek Hill situation and trade him.

It’s harder to actually make the deal.

Especially if you’re expecting a first-round draft pick in return.

Plenty of receivers have been traded since 2020. Some are among the biggest names around: Stefon Diggs, Amari Cooper and Super Bowl-bound A.J. Brown.

But only one receiver past his 30th birthday was dealt for a first-round pick since 2020. It happened in 2022 when Green Bay shipped Davante Adams to Las Vegas at 30 years old.

Know what else is rare? Hill. There’s a reason that last offseason he was voted the best player in the NFL by his peers.

Hill will turn 31 on March 1. The other factor for possible suitors to consider is he may be coming off wrist surgery. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said doctors wanted to operate on Hill last summer but it would have meant missing the season. Hill decided against that but the results did not meet his standard as he finished with 959 yards and six touchdowns.
