Former Alabama Crimson Tide QB Jalen Milroe has a strong message for those comparing his quarterback play to a 2x NFL MVP

Jalen Milroe might have been the best pure athlete to ever touch the field at the University of Alabama.

A strong statement considering the crop of skill players to come through the Capstone, he’s generating a ton of NFL comparisons already.

One of those would be 2x MVP, and Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson

Jalen Milroe takes Lamar Jackson comparison in stride

“You know, Lamar Jackson is very dominant,” said Milroe. “It’s been evident to how he’s played this season, for someone that’s inspired to go to the NFL. Just seeing as he takes his game to the next level each and every year, him being a top of the league, and him definitely being a top Quarterback in the NFL…

“…That’s inspiring for sure, you know, as a young quarterback, who’s inspired to go to the NFL,, so that [comparison] definitely puts a smile on my face, and I definitely love watching Lamar, you know, secretly… I’m actually a Ravens fan. I grew up a Ravens fan, so I pull for the Ravens.”

Lamar Jackson may be coming off another early exit in the playoffs after a loss to the Buffalo Bills but he was just named a three-time first-team All-Pro and is likely to win his third NFL MVP next week.

And while it might seem far-fetched, there are a lot of similarities and traits that Milroe and Jackson share at their separate times of coming into the league. Big arms, exemplary mobility, and a high character.

But similar to Jackson, there are a lot of questions about Milroe as a pure passer. Jackson has overcome said woes, but Milroe will have to show he can process, deliver, and executive when it counts.
