The Nigeria Premier Football League board has fined Katsina United one million naira and ordered the club to play their next home game behind closed doors for failing to provide adequate security during their matchday five clash gainst Sunshine Stars last weekend.

Katsina United must pay the fine within 14 days or risk further sanctions. The club have 48 hours to accept or appeal the sanction.The NPFL board also ordered the club to put in place an effective matchday security plan to avoid a recurrence or risk being sanctioned again.
The match ended 3-2 in favor of Kastina United but Kastina United are going to play their next home game behind closed doors because NPFL board ordered them to close Muhammadu Dikko Stadium for not providing adequate security in their last home game against Sunshine Stars.
