Napoli Director Petrazzuolo confirms Chelsea and Liverpool interest.
Napoli Director Antonio Petrazzuolo has confirmed that Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in signing Victor Osimhen, but insisted that the club will only sell the striker for a “ducentino” fee, meaning €200m plus.
Petrazzuolo also revealed that Napoli have not yet renewed Osimhen’s contract, which expires in 2025, which could add to the temptation to sell him in the summer.”Do Chelsea and Liverpool like Osimhen? I know of Chelsea’s interest, who are also looking at another striker, but we must not forget the approval expressed in the summer by PSG either,” Petrazzuolo told Calciomercato.”De Laurentiis made it clear that we needed a ‘ducentino’ from the sheikh to take him away from Napoli. Osimhen is much courted in Europe, and he is not pressing to leave.
The situation must obviously be monitored as there has been no renewal with Napoli so far.”Osimhen is one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe, having scored 26 goals in 32 Serie A games for Napoli last season. He is also a key player for the Nigerian national team.
Chelsea and Liverpool are both looking to strengthen their attacking options in the summer, and Osimhen would be a significant signing for either club. However, Napoli’s high asking price could prove to be a stumbling block.
