In the 65th minute, Nunez went viral on social media after failing to double his tally for the night in a hilarious fashion. He skipped past the last opposition centre-back, rounded the goalkeeper and had the open goal at his mercy. However, his shot hit the post before ยฃ34 million new boy Gravenberch fired in the rebound with his left foot which resulted to a goal.
After the match, Darwin Nunez took to his X(formerly Twitter) account to apologize to Liverpool fans who are still angry.
Darwin Nunez wrote
“It’s okay ๐๐ช, I am strong and still working to improve personally and help Liverpool ๐ชโค๏ธ”
It’s glaring that Darwin Nunez is working behind closed doors and hopefully he will help Liverpool this weekend.
