• After all di group matches na 12 countries qualify as first and second while di remaining four countries qualify through best losers (third best placed teams)
• Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria qualify for group B( Equatorial Guinea carry first while Nigeria carry 2nd).
• Cape Verde and Egypt qualify for group B (Cape Verde carry first postion while Egypt carry 2nd.
• Senegal and Cameroon qualify for group C ( Senegal collect first postion while Cameroon carry 2nd position).
• Angola and Burkina Faso qualify for group D( Angola collect first postion while Burkina Faso collect 2nd).
• Mali and South Africa qualify for group E ( Mali collect first postion while South Africa finish for second).
• Morocco and DR Congo qualify for group F( Morocco collect first postion while DR Congo finish second)
Because na 24 countries play di tournament, na 16 countries go play di round of 16, total numbers of countries wey finish first and second for each group dey 12 and di 12 countries no fit play di round of 16 so dem need to carry four countries wey finish third with di highest points or goal difference from each group.

• After all di group stage matches, Tanzania, Zambia, Tunisia, Algeria,Gambia, Mozambique, Ghana and Guinea Bissau don commot for group stage.
